Petit Byahaut, located at the southwestern leeward shore of St. Vincent is a little world on its own: 50 acres of tropical greenery at a private picturesque sheltered bay only accessible by boat.

The dream of owners Charles and Sharon of living with and for nature came true when they found this secluded valley. They are still continuously working at perfecting  their little piece of the island of St. Vincent.

Ecotourism is a much abused term but here you have found it in its true form! Experience being one with nature: on land tropical flowers, birds and trees; in the sea pristine reefs, abundant fish and underwater caves are part of everyday life at Petit Byahaut. Even modern technology is blended with nature in a non intrusive way: 11 reservoirs store rainwater, solar panels provide electricity for lighting, refrigeration and water pressure.

Accommodation: Only 5 dwellings are available for maximum Petit Byahaut, St. Vincent and the Grenadines ten nature lovers. Each site has been built with minimum interference with the natural surroundings of rocks, flowers and trees so they all turned out differently. One is an expansive patio with a raised, screened bedroom. Two sites are tents measuring 10x13x8 feet with spacious natural wood decks, screened windows and doors. Two sites are sculptured wood screened rooms. All of them are furnished with queen sized beds, hammocks, wicker chairs and tables, solar powered lights. Each dwelling has its private open air bathroom and shower in the gardens, but don't worry: there are only 5 sites on 50 acres and Petit Byahaut is a truly secluded resort!

The bar and restaurant are located at the waterfront of the bay. This is where the exquisite creations of the chef are served by candlelight. Specialties are vegetarian dishes using fresh produce of the island of St. Vincent.

Amenities: Three meals a day, hammocks on the beach, daily maid service, picnic lunches, transportation to and from the airport, use of snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and sunfish, some excursions are included for guests.

Nearby: The whole bay of Petit Byahaut is excellent for snorkeling. Certified divers can explore caves and the 120 ft wall at the north end of the bay. Guided hikes to the waterfalls, the volcano or the rainforest can be arranged, as well as boat tours to Trinity Falls or the falls of Baleine.
