Al and Liz, formerly on yacht Duppy
Conqueror are now on another catamaran, high performance sailing in
comfort, here she is:
The Yacht:
Cerulean is a Chris-White
designed Atlantic 57 catamaran that heralds the arrival
of a new generation of lavish, high performance yachts.
Brand new (launched August
2009) and outfitted to to superior and exacting
standards, this yacht offers breath-taking sailing
(often achieving 20 knots under sail) yet with no
compromise on comfort and stability. I have personally
seen it!
. She sails extremely fast and comfortable (no
heeling!), has a very spacious shaded
cockpit aft and offers plenty room for sunbathing on her two trampolines. You almost
get the room of two boats for the price of one!
Helmsman station is forward, separate cockpit, you are more than welcome
to join Al there for a stunning sailing experience.
The sizeable main saloon is
attractively upholstered and can accommodate 10 people at ease.
Swim
platforms on the stern offer easy access to the sea for swimming and snorkeling.
Accommodation:
Cerulean luxuriously
takes up to six guests in three double cabins, one with en suite bathroom and
shower. Crew has separate quarters, shares the other bathroom and shower, but
don't worry about that, they are very discreet.

The Crew:
Skipper Alan Weeks hails from South
Africa. After a career in geological exploration, He managed a large
construction company but finally returned to his first passion - sailing.
He has been involved with the
oceans from a very early age as his father was a professional diver and passed
the passion of the seas on to him. After earning his Yacht Master’s Offshore
Licence, he logged tens of thousands of ocean miles on the north and south
Atlantic, the Indian and Pacific oceans and the Mediterranean and Caribbean
seas.
He sailed into St Vincent and
the Grenadines on his 40 ft sloop some15 years ago and has since sailed these
waters on many types of sailing vessels, enthusiastically sharing the islands
and their waters with his guests. Other water activities he enjoys are free
diving, surfing, wake boarding and kite boarding. But, although he has an
adventurous spirit, safety is always his first concern.
Loves kitesurfing.
Liz, your first mate and
hostess was born in Jamaica and moved to south Florida as a teenager. She became
a cosmetologist, a profession in which she excelled as she has a natural ability
to pamper others with an artistic flair.
She has a keen interest in food
as both Alan and she enjoy fine dining. Her cuisine is diverse and international
and has been developed through extensive travels. Her other interests are
exploring above and below the sea as well the tranquillity of photography and
painting with water colours.
